Jane recommends: Since We Fell by Dennis Lehane.

One of the best thrillers that I have read in a long time. Lehane slowly ratchets up the tension and intrigue until you are dying to know exactly what is going on. Don’t plan on getting anything done if you get this book!

Kayla recommends The Gauntlet by Karuna Riazi

The Gauntlet
is a modern Jumanji with a steampunk twist. I enjoyed this book for its diverse characters that introduced new cultures and for showing the importance of teamwork and friendship.

Kathy recommends The Western Star by Craig Johnson

Can’t miss for Longmire fans! Fills in some of the holes about the man and his past. I’m not a fan of flashbacks but here they are essential. A fast paced book and good read.

Kevin recommends The Stranger in the Woods: The Extraordinary Story of the Last True Hermit by Michael Finkel

Christopher Knight lived alone in the woods of Maine for 27 years. Through his eyes, readers gain an enlightening perspective on modern society’s dependence on technology and convenience. Knight’s motivations are often both unnerving and relatable, and I enjoyed learning to understand them.
