Night Road by Kristin Hannah
This story is about the amazing friendship of two girls from opposite sides of the track, as well as, a love story. Senior year in high school with all the parties and boundary pushing is a scary experience for any parent. One wrong decision on a warm summer night can have heartbreaking consequences.
I felt every emotion these characters experienced, just when things seemed to be looking up and getting on an even keel….the unexpected would happen. I could relate to the liveliness of raising teenagers and the well-intended, but, bad choice. This book showed the necessity of forgiveness to free the soul to live again.
I would highly recommend this book. Ideal audience is teen through adult, especially recommended for parents of teenagers. It also provides a powerful lesson in forgiveness.
