It takes a village they say. Here at GCPL we are proud of our team. They contribute in various roles to keep library operations smoothly rolling along. They are valued members of the community. The #MeetGCPL blog highlights a library team member and lets you get to know them a little bit more, so when you see them at your local Branch you can connect further.
For this #MeetGCPL we would like to introduce you to Andrea. Andrea resides in Chesterland, and works at the Geauga West Branch as a Youth Services Assistant.
– Favorite book:
The Chocoholic Mystery Series by Joanna Carl
– Favorite vacation spot:
Florida. Because we love the beach and the sun!
– How she spends her free time:
Going to sporting events for my boys.
– Something new she would like to try:
I would love to learn how to use a Cri-cut or a Silhouette machine. I’m not artistic and I think it would help me to put nice touches on projects.
– Something she suggests you should try:
Serve food to the homeless, especially the kids. It opens your eyes to a world outside your own and it will make you appreciate all you have.
– Most memorable library experience:
I’ve been coming to Geauga West Library Branch since I was a child. The most memorable library moments for me were taking all four of my boys to storytimes. They all started as babies and still attend teen programs today. We have made life-long friendships and my boys have been stretched to read books and do things they would never have picked for themselves.
