It takes a village they say. Here at GCPL we are proud of our team. They contribute in various roles to keep library operations smoothly rolling along. They are valued members of the community. The #MeetGCPL blog highlights a library team member and lets you get to know them a little bit more, so when you see them at your local Branch you can connect further.
For this #MeetGCPL we would like to introduce you to Chris. Chris is originally from Southwest New York state. She currently works at our Chardon Branch as an Adult Services Assistant.
– Favorite book:
My favorite book is Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, by Doris Kearns Goodwin
– Fur baby:
One spoiled 12-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Sydney.
– Favorite vacation spot:
Chautauqua Institution, Chautauqua, New York. I love the author events, music and the beautiful area.
– How she spends her free time:
Reading, shopping with my sister and eating buffalo wings.
– Something new she would like to try:
I would like to learn to speak French, then travel.
– Something she suggests you should try:
Waste a day at an arcade that has a photo booth, because it’s fun!
– Most memorable library experience:
My first library experience was as a child. My older sister would take me to the library with her and drop me off in the children’s section, while she looked for books in the teen area. I loved the picture books but couldn’t wait to be able to go with her and read the same books she did.
