The 2024 Summer Reading program is here! We are challenging Geauga residents of all ages to make this summer one full of adventures, learning, and reading.

2024 Summer Reading Kickoff

Celebrate the beginning of our Summer Reading program by joining us on Saturday, June 1, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the Geauga County Fairgrounds for our Summer Reading Kickoff.

June 1 – July 31

The warm weather, blooming flowers, and chirping birds are all signs that Geauga County Public Library’s Summer Reading program is here. Sign up today and track your reading and activity progress all summer long for great prizes.

Adventure Knows No Age

Join us and embark on a summer of fun no matter your age! Our Summer Reading program is separated into three categories based on participant age or grade level:

• Children (Ages 0 – 12 / Birth – Grade 5)

• Teens (Ages 12 – 18 / Grade 6 – 12)

• Adults (Ages 18+)

Choose Your Adventure

Children
To earn the age group’s weekly prize and an entry into the program’s grand prize drawing, children must complete 5 activities from their activity logs each week. Children are limited to 1 small prize each week, with any additional activity logs being counted as an additional entry for the grand prize drawing.
Grand Prizes:
Each branch will complete a drawing at the end of the program. Three entries will be pulled and contacted through the information included in their Beanstack profile and/or on the entry logs.
Weekly Prizes:
Week 1 (6/1 – 6/8): Binoculars
Week 2 (6/9 – 6/15): Squishy Globe Ball
Week 3 (6/16 – 6/22): Camping Activity Book & Pencil
Week 4 (6/23 – 6/29): Flying Disc
Week 5 (6/30 – 7/6): Parachute Man
Week 6 (7/7 – 7/13): Rocket Flashlight
Week 7 (7/14 – 7/20): Astronaut Spinner
Week 8 (7/21 – 7/31): Secret Notebook & Invisible Pen
Teens
For each book read, teens will be entered into both the weekly prize drawing and the grand prize drawing. There is no limit to how many books can be read and entered into the drawings.
