Winter Reading Program

2024 Winter Reading

Geauga County Public Library is bringing back its Winter Reading Program in 2024 and is challenging Geauga adults, teens, and kids to read all winter long! As you read and participate in activities at home, school, and/or the library between Jan. 1 and Feb. 29, log into your Beanstack account and track your progress for a chance to win one of our Winter Reading Program’s prizes.

Not a fan of tracking your logs virtually? Winter Reading Program slips are available at each of our library branch locations! Take one home and return it to your nearest library branch, where library staff will enter it into Beanstack to help you track your progress.

Each library branch will complete one grand prize drawing for the adult, teen, and children categories at the conclusion of the program. Winners will be contacted through the information provided on their Winter Reading logs or through the information included in their Beanstack account.

Children (Ages 0-12 / Grades 0-5)

To be entered into Winter Reading’s grand prize drawing, children must complete 5 activities within the children’s log. Activities include: read for 30 minutes (can be completed five times per log); play a board game; read a winter book; perform a random act of kindness; play outdoors and; make a winter craft. Logs can be completed once each week for a total of 9 entries in the grand prize drawing.
