The Geauga County Library Foundation’s Stay at Home and Read Fundraiser runs throughout the month of January. Geauga County residents are encouraged to stay home, select a book, get in comfy clothes, and get lost in the pages.

Donations of the money they would have spent on a night out are accepted at GeaugaLibrary.net or mailed to Geauga County Library Foundation, 12701 Ravenwood Drive, Chardon, OH 44024. All proceeds help further the mission of Geauga County Public Library to engage, connect, and inspire Geauga County citizens.

The virtual event is highlighted by the Stay at Home and Read Ball on Friday January 21, 2022. Supporters can share pictures and details of their night in on social media and tag it with #GCPLStayHome.

“Given the unpredictable winter weather and surge in COVID cases, a lot of people would love to just stay home rather than attend an in person fundraising event,” says Becki Gierman, Geauga County Library Foundation Executive Director. “This non-event gives library lovers the opportunity to support the library without having to decline an invitation.”^
