Library Foundation Launches Volunteer Organization

The Geauga County Library Foundation is pleased to announce its new volunteer organization, the Partners of the Geauga County Library Foundation. Partners of the Geauga County Library Foundation are library champions who actively love and support Geauga County Public Library. Partners are library ambassadors, volunteers, and people who champion Geauga County Public Library at every turn.

“We know there are many Geauga County citizens that love the library and wish to be more engaged in our mission through volunteering,” says Becki Gierman, Executive Director of Geauga County Library Foundation. “This organization offers many opportunities to be involved at any commitment level, whether it’s helping for a few hours at the Geauga County Fair Book Sale, working at our Mini Golf at the Library annual fundraiser, or chairing a committee. There is something for everyone.”

There are no set dues to be a Partner of Geauga County Library Foundation, but donations in any amount are appreciated. Geauga County Library Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that solely supports Geauga County Public Library.

Partners of Geauga County Library Foundation support Geauga County Public Library programs such as:

Rascal’s Reading Club early literacy initiative which includes Baby’s First Book, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, and Rascal’s Readers.

Geauga County Public Library’s Summer & Winter Reading Programs that provide reading incentive activities, games, and programs for families to read together.

Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library, a statewide kindergarten readiness program that mails free books every month to all enrolled children under age 5.
