In addition to its full-service Mobile Memory Lab housed at their Thompson Branch, Geauga County Public Library now offers two mini Mobile Memory Labs, one for photos and one for video, which further engages members of the community to capture, record, and preserve important parts of their personal histories.
Each session will last two hours. As with the full-service Mobile Memory Lab, community members must complete an orientation to use the mini Mobile Memory Labs. Community members who have not completed an orientation can schedule one at GeaugaLibrary.net under “Programs.”
The photo mini Mobile Memory Lab will be housed at Geauga County Public Library’s Administrative Center. It features a flatbed scanner, fast photo scanner, slide/negative scanner, and photo editing software. Sessions will last for two hours and will be held at 9 AM, 12 PM, and 2:45 PM, Monday – Friday. The video mini Mobile Memory Lab will be housed at Geauga County Public Library’s Bainbridge Branch. It features an 8mm film scanner, VHS digitizer, and video editing software. Sessions will last for two hours and will be held at 9 AM, 12 PM, 3 PM, and 5:45 PM, Monday – Thursday, and 9 AM, 12 PM, and 3 PM, Fridays and Saturdays.
