Press Release
Geauga County Public Library is excited to announce the expansion of its language learning services with the recent additions of Mango Languages: American Sign Language and Mango Languages: Little Pim. These digital resources are now available through the Library’s website and are free to all Geauga County residents. These additions strengthen the Library’s language learning services and offer its patrons of all ages an engaging way to expand their language skills.
Mango Languages: American Sign Language expands Geauga County Public Library’s Mango Language subscription to now include American Sign Language courses and lessons. Available through a partnership with ASL Inside, this resource provides step-by-step lessons, video demonstrations, and practice modules using a conversational methodology that helps learners practice and build confidence in their ASL abilities.
Mango Languages: Little Pim is a language-learning tool perfect for babies, toddlers, and pre-K learners. In short five-minute videos that hold young learners’ attention, young patrons can learn languages like Spanish, French, Mandarin, Arabic, Korean, and more with ease. Lessons focus on themes like colors, numbers, and everyday activities to build a foundation vocabulary and use engaging characters and repetition to make learning enjoyable for young minds.
To access these resources, please visit our Research Databases & Online Resources webpage; library cards are not required for access. For more information or assistance, please contact your local branch.
