Press Release
Geauga County Public Library is celebrating the expansion of its Digital Legacy Labs with a one-of-a-kind preservation program. Interested patrons are invited to join the Library on Saturday, August 9, for Scanzapalooza, an all-day, interactive digitization event. Patrons will work alongside the Library’s Digitization Specialist at the Chardon Branch, learning how to scan and save important documents and memories using the Digital Legacy Lab. All digitized materials will be made digitally available for patrons to take home and share with family and friends.
Scanzapalooza is a limited, one-day only event. It is broken into four separate sessions, with each session lasting one hour and allowing for 15 registrants per session. Digitization formats are limited to photos, 50mm slides, and documents (up to 8”x11” in size). Quantities of materials are limited to 15 photos and documents per person or 10 slides per patron.
