Stars & Stories

Geauga County Public Library’s 2026 Summer Reading is officially here! Are you ready to take the challenge? From June 1 – July 31, track your reading and lifelong learning activities to earn great prizes all summer long.

How to Play

Summer Reading knows no age. This year’s challenge is separated into three categories based on age and grade level.

  1. Children (Ages 0-12 or Birth-Grade 5)
  2. Teens (Ages 12-18 or Grade 6-12)
  3. Adults (Ages 18+)

Participation varies based on category of participant. For children, participants can earn weekly prizes and entries into the grand prize drawing by completing five activities in their weekly activity log. For teens and adults, participants can earn entries into the weekly and grand prize drawings for each book they read. Completed activity and reading logs can be entered in our Summer Reading: Stars & Stories form or submitted at your local branch.

Children

Instructions

Participants can earn a weekly prize and an entry into the grand prize drawing by completing five activities in their activity logs. Each participant may earn one weekly prize.

Weekly Prize

Participants may select one weekly prize at their local branch once per week.

Grand Prize

At the end of the program, each branch will hold a drawing. Three entries will be selected per branch, and each winner will receive a gift basket. Winners will be contacted using the information provided on their entry forms.

Teens

Instructions

Participants will receive one entry into both the weekly prize drawing and the grand prize drawing for each book they read. There is no limit to the number of books that can be read or entries that can be earned.

Weekly Drawings

Each branch will hold a weekly prize drawing. The prize will be a $10 gift card, with the type determined by branch staff and unique to each branch.

Grand Prize

At the end of the program, each branch will hold a grand prize drawing. One entry will be selected per branch, and the winner will receive a $50 gift card prize. Winners will be contacted using the information provided on their entry forms.

Adults
