Summer Reading: All Together Now

Our favorite time of year is here and better than ever!

Get reading and creative all summer long at the Geauga County Public Library with help from our free Summer Reading Program.

Participation is easy! Log your summer reading and activities by creating a Beanstack account in just a few short steps. Over the course of the summer, as you read and participate in activities both at home and at the library, log back into your Beanstack account and record your doings for a chance to win one of our Summer Reading Program’s grand prizes.

If you aren’t a fan of tracking your progress virtually Summer Reading Program slips for each age range are available at all six Geauga County Public Library branches, where patrons are able to take the slips home, fill them out, and return them to the library to record their progression.

Summer Reading is for everyone in Geauga County!

Children (Ages 0 – 12 / Birth – Grade 5)

To participate, children are encouraged to complete 5 activities in the library’s Summer Reading Program logs per week. When completed, children will earn 1 small prize (limited to 1 per week) and 1 entry into the children’s grand prize drawing. Any additional logs submitted will count as additional entries into the grand prize drawing.

The children’s Summer Reading Program grand prize will be drawn at the end of the Summer Reading Program, with the winners being contacted through the contact information entered under their Beanstack profiles. Each branch will pull 5 different winners, who each will receive 1 gift card worth $25.

Teens (Ages 12 – 18 / Grades 6 – 12)

To participate, teens are encouraged to track every book they read over the summer and log them through Beanstack or through a physical submission slip, available at branch. For each completed slip, participating teens will be entered into both a weekly teen prize drawing (1 drawing per week, worth $10) as well as the teen’s grand prize drawing.

The teen’s Summer Reading Program grand prize will be drawn at the end of the Summer Reading Program, with the winners being contacted through the contact information entered under their Beanstack profiles. Each branch will pull 1 winner, who will receive 1 gift card worth $50.
