Geauga County Public Library Branch is excited partner with the United Way to offer direct patron access to 211 services via a chat link on Geauga County Public Library Branch public desktops starting Monday, January 24. In addition, Chardon and Middlefield branches will pilot a program offering dedicated phone access to 211 operators for patrons.
United Way 211 is a free and confidential public gateway to health and human services for the community. Trained operators help callers find and access needed community resources.
As stated on the United Way 211 website, “Serving 4 counties and covering 1.5 million people in Ohio, the United Way 2-1-1 Help Center provides free and confidential 24-hour access to a compassionate professional who will review your options for help, develop a plan and act as your advocate if you are faced with barriers to service. Simply dial 2-1-1 or chat with us for assistance. Se habla Espanol.”
