Press Release
The Geauga County Public Library’s six branch managers — Dani Hollar, Judy Lasko, Rachael Hartman, Alicia Evans, Kevin Barton, & Eric Coulbourne — have been awarded by the Ohio Library Council (OLC) with the OLC 2023 Library Innovation Award for the library system’s “The Essentials” employee orientation program.
The Essentials program is a significant addition to the Geauga County Public Library’s staff orientation process. It brings together staff from each Geauga County Public Library branch during their first year as library employees and assists them in developing a deep understanding of the library as an institution and its need to provide excellent customer service to the Geauga community we serve. The completion of this program leads to a well-informed and compassionate staff who provide excellent library services to the Geauga community, helping maintain Geauga County Public Library’s critical role in the county.
Thank you, Dani Hollar, Judy Lasko, Rachael Hartman, Alicia Evans, Kevin Barton, & Eric Coulbourne, for your commitment to the Geauga County Public Library, its staff, and patrons through your innovative approach to staff orientation. Their efforts not only create a more well-informed staff, but one that is also unified in the goal to connect, engage, and inspire the Geauga community.
Geauga County Public Library branch managers will be recognized for their work during a special ceremony and luncheon at the annual OLC conference in Cincinnati on September 27.
