Press Release
Geauga County Public Library has been selected by The Mayflower Society to receive a collection of Mayflower Silver Books for the library’s genealogy collection. The donation will be honored in a small presentation on Tuesday, October 10, at 6 PM in the Chardon Branch’s Bostwick Room with the Mayflower Society in attendance. All of those interested are invited to attend.
The Mayflower Silver Books are a vital resource and crucial in helping researchers identify and examine possible ancestral links to the 102 Mayflower pilgrims. In total, the Silver Books boasts twenty-two volumes spread across forty-two different books. The addition of these books will be a tremendous expansion to the Anderson Allyn Room’s already extensive local history and genealogy collection and will greatly benefit Geauga genealogists in their search for ancestral information.
Please join Geauga County Public Library and The Mayflower Society as we work together to enhance the Geauga County Public Library’s collections and resources for the residents of Geauga County.
