Geauga County Public Library will begin accepting photography submissions on Monday, September 16, for its annual photography contest, Life in Geauga County. The call for submissions will remain open through Friday, October 18.
Life in Geauga County is a county-based photography contest that aims to engage, connect, and inspire the Geauga community through the medium of photography. It is open to teens, ages 12 – 17, and adults, ages 18+, and will be divided into two juried categories per the participant’s age. Contestants are limited to three entries.
Submission guidelines:
1) In .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG format
2) Less than 5MB in size
3) Have a resolution of 1200 pixels or more on its longest side
After submissions close, photographs will be made available for public voting in two phases. Teen voting will begin first on Monday, October 21, and end on Sunday, October 27. Adult voting will start the following week on Monday, October 28, and end on Sunday, November 3. The three highest-voted photographs will move on to the contest’s finale, where a guest judge will determine the winners. Winning photographs will be printed and displayed in the contestant’s local branch for a period of one month.
