Updated Library Hours

Due to funding uncertainties, the Geauga County Public Library Board of Trustees voted to close on Sundays in the summer, starting June 22, 2025. (The library was previously closed already on June 15 so staff could celebrate the Father’s Day holiday.) This decision was not made lightly but is a proactive step in preserving funds while minimizing disruptions to patrons.

Summer Sundays are typically slower, and our hours are already reduced. Closing on Sundays helps us cut costs with a minimal impact on patrons.

We expect to have more information about funding in early July, and the Library Board will revisit the decision later this summer to determine hours for the rest of the year.^
