Due to funding uncertainties, the Geauga County Public Library Board of Trustees voted to close on Sundays in the summer, starting June 22, 2025. This change was extended to encompass the remainder of the 2025 calendar year at the August Board meeting.

This decision was not made lightly, but it remains a proactive step in preserving funds while minimizing disruptions to patrons. Closing on Sundays helps the Library cut costs with a minimal impact on patrons.

Geauga County Public Library expects to have more information about its operating hours later in the year, when the Library Board revisits the decision in December.^
