Press Release
Geauga County Public Library is excited to share a few changes and updates coming to our programming schedule, our Lines & Links publication, and our program registration processes. Due to the changes discussed in the latest A Letter from the Director blog, you may notice changes in the Lines & Links issues following our latest publication as to how we promote programs, manage program registrations, and our programming schedules. These changes were implemented based on patron feedback, internal staff requests, and our goal to remain a responsive library, evolving to the needs of our community members and the communities we serve.
To adjust to these changes while not reducing our core services and resources, we are implementing a new program registration process that we call “rolling registration.” This process is similar to what Geauga County is used to, but with one marked change — rather than program registrations for an entire programming session opening on a specified date, we will begin opening program registrations for the upcoming month on the 15th of the preceding month. In practice, it would look like this:
Registration for January programs will open on Monday, December 15.
Registration for February programs will open on Thursday, January 15.
Another update coming in 2026 relates to the schedule of our Lines & Links publications. Instead of releasing three Lines & Links issues per year, we are transitioning our schedule to now include four issues. The updated schedule will align with the year’s seasons and look like this:
Spring Programs: March – May
Summer Programs: June – August
Fall Programs: September – November
Winter Programs: December – February
This is why our most recent issue of Lines & Links is shorter than you what may be used to! It only includes programs and events in January and February of 2026, as we move to our new spring program schedule that will cover March through May of 2026. Rest assured, this smaller issue is only a transitional stage as we prepare for all these new and exciting changes and updates.
