Press Release
Geauga County Public Library is proud to continue its support of Claridon Community Helps and its annual April food drive. This year’s drive benefits the Claridon Community Helps’ seasonal Now That’s What I’m Talking About! Summer Lunch program, an initiative focused on addressing youth food insecurity across Geauga County.
In April, all Geauga County Public Library branches will serve as convenient drop-off locations for non-perishable donations for this food drive and initiative. Requested items include (but are not limited to) canned vegetables and fruit, granola bars, and baking supplies, as well as packaging materials such as zipper bags and paper lunch bags. Access a comphrensive list of requested food drive donations at claridoncommunityhelps.org/summer-lunch.
Claridon Community Helps is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting individuals and families in Claridon and surrounding communities during times of hardship. Its Now That’s What I’m Talking About! Summer Lunch program extends this mission by providing nutritious meals to local children during the summer months, helping ensure consistent access to food when school is not in session.
Donation bins will be clearly marked and accessible during regular library hours at each branch. Bin locations may vary by branch; visit your local branch’s reference desk or circulation counter for in-branch assistance.
